I thoroughly enjoyed the 6-week beginner's course. I had never before used a sewing machine but by the end I felt confident moving forward and developing my skills independently. Michelle is a gifted educator, who is so knowledgeable and patient. She creates a relaxed and fun learning atmosphere with plenty of support and guidance. She provides a range of high quality materials and fabrics that are remnants of other projects. Sustainability is at the core of Michelle's practice. Despite varying skill levels, everyone in the small group setting experienced success and completed a sewing project (a cushion cover for me) and made some clothing alterations. The two hour sessions went by so quickly! It's always good to learn new things as an adult, especially one that has such practical benefits and applications. I have been lucky enough to do two courses with Michelle in dressmaking in 2023. .Michelle's classes are relaxed and the pace is set by the students abilities. My confidence in my abilities has really grown with her help. I would recommend any of her courses to anyone who is a beginner or further along in their sewing journey. I would also recommend trying the one off workshops to try new crafts ... A very enjoyable way to spend a few hours !
Excellent course for anyone that's interested, you learn loads and it's a great atmosphere. I'm thoroughly enjoying learning everything. So if you are thinking about it , give it a go. I'm glad l did.
completed a dressmaking course with Michelle and really enjoyed it. The group is not too big so there’s lot of time to get individual support. I learnt so much and really increased my confidence and love of sewing. I’ve just booked another group of classes with her and can’t wait to start again.
