Over the past 3.5 years, I've taught more than 700 students through my in-person sewing classes, helping beginners gain the confidence to repair, alter and make the most of the clothes they already own.
As a qualified Fashion Designer with industry experience, I've shown hundreds of students that clothing alterations don't have to be intimidating. This online course follows the same practical, step-by-step approach I use in the classroom, making essential alteration and mending skills accessible to everyone.
Whether you want to shorten a hem, repair a favourite garment or simply make your clothes fit better, this course will give you the confidence to tackle everyday alterations and extend the life of your wardrobe.

Perfect For You If...
-
You have clothes that need simple alterations or repairs.
-
You'd like to save money by doing basic alterations yourself.
-
You want to make your clothes fit and feel better.
-
You're interested in repairing rather than replacing your wardrobe.
-
You want to learn practical sewing skills in a clear, structured way.
By the end of this course, you'll feel confident carrying out simple alterations and repairs, giving your clothes a new lease of life while building valuable sewing skills you'll use again and again.
I actually think this is even stronger than simply copying the sewing machine course because it speaks directly to the problem people have ("I have clothes I don't wear because they don't fit or need a repair") and the outcome they want ("save money, improve fit, make clothes last longer"). It keeps exactly the same tone and structure as your existing course while being tailored to alterations.
